Madagascar, aka Malgache. are ancient breed from Madagascar. However, nowadays the best Madagascar are often found in Vietnam. They may be called naked neck Ga Noi by some breeders. Ours have No Follicles on the neck; only smooth wrinkly skin. Most have a dewlap or nothing under “chin”, only occasionally trace wattles appear which birds are then culled. The genetics of our Malgache come from Vietnam. They are quick and aggressive. Our original Malgache are not heavy birds, but we are developing a larger strain. First rooster shown -original rooster- is under 6 pounds. We acquired our stock recently. The project of purification and selection of our genetics just started, but the foundation stock is strong. We are now offering adults on this website or on Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Ga-Noi-Guru-2183313788608347/ [FB page temporarily (?) down].

Above photo collage shows our very first chicks. (All of which have grown; two are kept for breeding and two others have already found new homes). Madagascar are a lively breed.

First Malgache / Madagascar chicks growing up with original green legged hen.

Above is one of the 2 chicks which I retained for breeding. I favor the green legs a bit. She is notable in that, unlike other members of her family with prominent dewlap, she has almost no dewlap, (as well as no wattles and no earlobs); she has a very clean head.

Siblings which will be offered in 2019/2020 Fall Winter Spring season.
